English language teaching model proposal for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students

This study tries to explore English language learning conditions of Deaf and Hard Hearing (DHH) students in Turkey worldwide. To this end, descriptive research method was carried out find the characteristics DHH learners their ways communicationand certain foreign teaching methods and/or techniques recommended for group learners. Within framework these objectives, investigated worldwide through literature review both empirical theoretical studies concerning Briefly, results shows that there have been few on do not access appropriate teaching. Having examined worldwide, are some practical implications regarding characteristics, communication ways/needs, In brief, within scope data derived from study, proposed model basically includes components such as visualisation, using technological tools, strategies reading vocabulary, constructing a multilingual environment by national sign language, cued speech, lip etc., repetition, explicit teaching, providing enriched feedback.
